Introducing Stacks Pakistan’s Clarity Cohort- Ali Raza
Ali Raza is a passionate 24-year-old, who graduated from the Government College University of Faisalabad. While scrolling through Facebook one day, he came across Stacks Pakistan and decided to partake in their first Hackathon, Hack4Impact Season 1. He participated in the 3-day hackathon and out of the 500 candidates, Raza was selected to become a member of the exclusive Clarity Cohort.
According to Raza, he learned a lot about Blockchain and Smart Contract Development during his time as a Blockchain developer internee with Stacks Pakistan. He came to know more about ‘DAPPS’, also known as decentralized systems and applications. Not only did he learn more, but he also got hands-on experience on smart contract development using Clarity. The cohort experience turned out to be very fruitful for him.
Ali Raza is a rather ardent fellow when it comes to his field. When asked about what he does in his free time, he answered: “In my free time, I like to explore different GitHub repositories and seek ideas and improve my coding skills and coding practices, as well as I like to participate in hackathons. I also like to play sci-fi and war RPG games. I’m passionate about learning advanced coding concepts and technologies like AI, blockchain, IoT, Neural engines of games. I’m also fond of watching sci-fi movies and series that showcase the use of future technologies.” His life seems to revolve around his passions, and fortunately, his career and passions align, which in itself is a blessing that is helping him succeed in his career.
One of Raza’s main goals is to gain an advanced skill set in modern technologies like blockchain, AI and edge computing. He is currently working with various Blockchain startups and mainly aims to help them grow, so in a few years, he can help other students such as himself to learn more about the technology, and aid them in getting hands-on experience in Blockchain. According to Raza, “This will help boost the economy of Pakistan and open new doors of investment in blockchain and cryptocurrency by foreign clients as well.”
Raza is currently working as smart contract and blockchain developer at BlockTech and an open source contribution at the MLH fellowship program. Given his achievements at such a young age, he sure is an inspiration to many. Hence, we had to ask him for his advice to his juniors and anyone hoping to achieve something in their life and Raza answered with the following: “I would ask them to stop wasting their time on useless co-curricular activities. Make a purpose of your life to accomplish something great, something meaningful, become an example for others so that others could admire you and your dedication, and be willing to work with you as a team. Time and life are constants and once they are gone, they are gone, and you can’t bring them back, so make them count. Be passionate and never give up no matter how many failures or bugs in your codes come along the way, be persistent, be patient and never go gentle in those good nights because success demands a great deal of a hard time and long hours of dedication in achieving that particular goal of yours. “
Stacks Pakistan is proud to have helped such a bright individual grow and hopes to see him achieve his goals one day. We wish you all the best Ali Raza!
